Rallying/Racing News - 4th September 2011
BTRDA 1400L Drivers Champion 2011 on the Woodpecker Rally.

Yesterdays Woodpecker rally was extremely dusty which caused us engine problems throughout the day. Other than this we had decided before the rally to aim at beating the main competitors in the 1400L class and also drive for a finish to score the points needed to secure the class. This we did and even with 1 round still remaining I can't now be beaten in the driver's class.

This is great result not just for myself, but for everyone who has kept the Lupo competitive throughout the year (i.e. John Goff and the Rallyschool), especially after breaking my wrist last year. Joe my Co-Driver has also played his part, by keeping my on the track throughout the championship.

If you click on the following link you will be able to see Chris Flanagan's recent article on our Woodpecker Rally in the Lancashire Telegraph.Press coverage.

My Co-Driver was Joe Cruttenden for the rally and the 1400 VW Lupo was prepared by John Goff and the Rallyschool team (www.rallyschool.co.uk) based in Shropshire.

Bye for now
