5th in class on the Quinton Stages Rally.
Yesterday I completed my 3rd National Rally, the Quinton Stages Rally based around Llandovery Wales. I had a new co-driver for the event, Joe Cruttenden from Rochdale, as James my previous co-driver was not available. Overall I finished 74th out of 96 starters and my times for each of the stages has improved. I finished 5th in my class, which had a number of new drivers competing in this class for the first time. In the Formula 1000 Forest Rally Championship I'm still in 3rd place. The weather for the rally played a significant part in that the heavy rain and gales force winds made all the stages treacherous. Fortunalty I didn't repeat my experience of crashing into a ditch like I did on the North Humberside Rally last March.
The pictures above shows one of myself and one of me taking a 90 degree right at the top of the Monument Stage. More photos can be found if you click here Rally Gallery.
Thanks to Joe for being my Co-Driver for the rally. Thanks also to John Goff and the Rallyschool support team for preparing the car.
If you click on the following link you will be able to view an great article on my Quinton Stages Rally, writen by Neil Johnson from the Lancashire Telegraph. Press coverage.
I unfortunatly have a long break until next October for my next rally which should be the Bulldog, due to lack of funds. After that I'm hoping to compete on the Cambrian Rally in November.
Bye for now.
