2007 News...

I have to announce that I have been withdrawn from the Covkartsport Senior Lights championship by the Club President. The reason for this is that at the Rye House Meeting my Dad challenged a decision made against me on the track and the Club President took great exception to this. Subsequent events, including the Northern Slur news item against my Dad (although never named but implied), which appeared on the Covkartsport web site and the email sent to myself from the Club President prior to the GYG meeting telling me he had excluded me from future races, has convinced myself and my family that it is not worth continuing in a club which is so influenced by just one individual whose opinion is law. In the email sent to me, it also stated that the person who knocked me off at Rye House has subsequently admitted the fact, but it is a shame they never admitted the fact on the day. It proves my Dad was right to question the penalties made against me, but the Club President has never apologizes for his attitude, comments made against my Dad in the news item or the mistakes made at Rye House....but I suppose that's racing, especially in Covkartsport.

Its sad that things have to end this way, but my family and myself would like to wish the genuine friends we made over the last couple of years every success and good health in what ever they do in the future.
