2006 News...

My first flying lesson was a birthday present from my Mum and Dad, and it was great. Its taken until now to arrange the course due to other commitments and the fact the weather at the weekends has not always been ideal. The weather on this day was far from perfect as it was cloudy, windy and threatening to rain but my instructor said it was ok. If the weather had been ideal we would have flown over the Lakes, but instead we flew around the Fylde which included Blackpool and Fleetwood.

The photo above shows me just about to take control of the plane, which I got to do several times during the flight. It was a bit nerve racking to start with, but once I got used to using my feet as well as my hands it became easier and more fun.

The hours lesson passed very quickly and when I can afford it, I'd like to have another go.
