2006 Covkartsport Winter Series - Races 5 and 6.
Bad day at Sutton Elms.
Another bad days racing at Sutton Elms saw me have a really poor qualifying session due to the kart I had to use. I'm not exaggerating when I say it had no power whatsoever and after my session it was withdrawn. This left me at the back of the grid in 7th in the 1st race and I managed to move up to 5th. In the 2nd race I was gridded 3rd and I finish 3rd, but it could have been at lot worse as I had a rubbish start and had to fight back to where I started from. Overall on the day I finished 7th which put me 6th in the Senior Light class and 15th overall(all weights), which I'm disappointed about, but that's racing. I have learnt a lot from this Winter series about the Senior Lights class (i.e. drivers and tactics) and I will use this knowledge to my advantage during the main championship which starts in a few weeks.
Congratulations must go out to Jordan for winning the Senior Lights and the overall Winter Championship. Also congrats to little Chris for winning the Juniors and Clive Childs for winning the heavy's.
The next race meeting is on the 9th April, at Red lodge, the 1st race meeting in the main 2006 Covkartsport Championship. Details of this result and previous Race Results for 2006.
Cheers.
