Three Sisters GP Open Race - Victory!!!
On my way to the 'A' final, I won all the three heats that I competed in. This put me on pole, which was great because the kart I had to drive was smoking before the start. I had a good start which gave me a big lead, but as the race continued my lead started to disappear because my kart lost power down the straights. By the last lap the second place driver Dave Keech was hot on my heals and I only just managed to cross the finishing line in first place.
This was the first outing for my new Helmet. It is a Arai GP-5K and the reason I bought type of Helmet is because the visor is easier to change than my old Helmet which is a Bell. It is also much more comfortable to wear and at some point in the future I may have it painted.
There is another Three Sisters GP race on the 18th February which I hope compete in, as I still need more race practice.
Cheers.
