Karting News - 9th December 2005
2005 Covkartsport Presentation Evening.
At the Covkartsport presentation evening I was presented with the John Gill Trophy for being the 2005 Covkartsport Junior Champion.
The evening was at the Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club near Coventry, which meant I had to be pulled out of a Spanish mock GCSE exam. Many thanks to the Teachers and Staff of Ribblesdale High School for being so understanding, we would never have got there on time without their help (I will sit the exam next Monday). The evening was very enjoyable, with a Christmas dinner and plenty of activities to keep us all amused and entertained.
As you can see from the photo on the left, I decided to make the effort for the evening, which stunned my Mum and Dad. The photo on the right was taken at Sutton Elms Karting circuit the day after the presentation. Thanks to the owners and marshalls for letting me use the kart for the photographs.
Congratulations to all the other 2005 winners at Covkartsport and I hope to see everyone next year for the either the Winter series starting at the end of January or the main Championship starting in April.
