Prokart Grand Prix at Three Sisters.
VICTORY!!!!!!!!
I had a great set of heats where I was placed 8th, 5th and 9th on the grids, and I finished in 1st, 2nd and 2nd in those heats. I had some better starts in the heats, which had become a bit of a problem in the last few races I've raced in and I qualified 3rd in the 'A' final. In the 'A' final I got another good start but so did everyone else and after the first lap I was still in 3rd, right behind the driver in 2nd. On the next lap, the 2nd place driver had a problem with his kart and had to drop out, so I was then after the race leader. This took a couple of laps but I finally caught and passed him. For the last few laps of the race I was 100 % defensive and I took the chequered flag in first. This was I great result for me as I've had a few bad results recently loosing places in races when I shouldn't have.
I now must concentrate on school work for the next few weeks as I have some important exams in June and my work experience fortnight starts in June.
My next races should be the Covkartsport race at Thruxton on the 5th June 2005 and possibly another Three Sisters GP race on the 1st June 2005.
Bye for now..
