Daytona Manchester Christmas Festival Race.
Daytona Manchester, Christmas Festival, 28th December 2004 - I did well in the first three heats gaining places in each. However my fourth heat was crap as I started first and finished third.
As it was the Christmas Festival, Daytona arranged a pit stop challenge, which consisted of eight teams of four. The challenge was to change all the wheels on a F1 car. although I dropped my 'nut', which rolled under the car, our team (Thomas Durbridge, Paul Durbridge, David Bradwell and myself) still won with a time of 22.01 seconds.
I qualified second on the grid in the final. Second, third and fourth all shared the same points but I had the fastest lap time. Once the lights changed to green I quickly realised that I had a bad start and after the first lap I was in fourth place. I kept close behind the third place driver and on the seventh lap I made a successful challenge for third place which I easily held to the end of the race. The final was won by Patrick Horton, who did well by keeping Thomas Durbridge at bay to the finish line.

As December 2004 has been very successful I am now looking forward to my racing in 2005...
