Prokart Grand Prix at Three Sisters, 18th December 2004 - Finished First!

Since the beginning of November, I have competed in three Prokart Grand Prix event at the Three Sister Kart track at Wigan. The first Prokart Grand Prix race was wet, there were 36 competitors and I finished 8th in the 'A' final. The second Prokart Grand Prix race was on a greasy track, there were 25 competitors and I finished 8th in the 'A' final. Last Saturday I enter the Prokart Grand Prix race, there were 16 competitors, the weather was very very very wet and I finished 1st in the 'A' final.

The races consist of three heats and a final. During each event I have gained in confidence in outdoor karting especially in the wet on slick tyres. The Races use Three Sisters own twin engined karts which only have slick tyres. During the first two races I spent more time pulling the kart out of the mud after spinning off, but last Saturday every thing just seemed to come together and apart from getting very wet I didn't have any problems. I won a trophy and a discount voucher for the next race which should be early 2005.
