2004 Daytona Manchester Inkart Junior Championship.
Daytona Manchester, Inkart Championship Race, 31stOctober 2004 - Ninth after a rule change !
I finished the heats in ninth place after a poor first heat. This should have put me ninth in the 'A' final as in all the other rounds of the championship, but the race director decide to change how many driver should compete in the 'A' final to just eight from the usual ten. This put me in the 'B' final which I won by half a lap, but it only allowed me to get the equivalent of ninth place overall as far as points for the championship are concerned. A podium position in the 2004 Championship is now not possible. I have to question the motives of the race director in changing of the number of drivers who competed in the ''A' final and this sudden change in the way the races are run. This has made me wonder whether its worth competing in the last race or not ?
