Daytona Manchester, Inkart Championship Race, 19th September 2004 - Retired hurt !

I had mixed fortune in the heats and ended up fourth on the grid in the final. I got of to a good start in the final, but after the second corner I was shunted into the barrier and I banged my rib's on the steering wheel. I immediately stopped the kart, as my ribs hurt a lot. After talking to the marshal, I decided to carry on even though my chances were non existent and I was in some pain. After the final My Mum took me to casualty where I was checked over by a Doctor who said I had Badly bruised my ribs and said I would be out of action for about two weeks. This has seriously dented my chances of a podium position in the 2004 Championship, but I have decided to compete in the last two races in the Championship and win them both.
