2004 News...

Daytona Manchester, Inkart Championship Race, 16th May 2004 - I got third place in the third race of the Inkart Championship season and I'm third in the overall championship.

After a bumpy ride through the heats I managed to get third place on the grid for the final. Second, third and fourth all had the same number of points so the positions for the final grid were based on the fastest time throughout the heats. This was the first final on the new circuit so it was going to be interesting to see how the race would unfold. I had a poor start which didn't help, but I managed to catch up to the second place driver within the first lap. As most of the top drivers have quickly got to know the new track, it is very difficult to pass anyone. This proved the case for the next 8 laps, but on the last lap a suicidal move by the guy in fourth almost destroyed my race and his by putting us both in the barrier. I managed to get free from the barrier and finished third. This has kept me in the top three in the championship and I'm now looking forward to the next race on 20th June 2004.
